2014


New years resolutions are awful... there I said it.  Almost everyone makes them and almost everyone breaks them.  As we embark on a new year (I know I'm like a month late) I have a few goals that I would like to work on.  This isn't a new years resolution by any means. Just some things I want to accomplish and work on.

  • get back on my weight loss journey, as I abandoned it while I was pregnant. (weight loss goal post to come once I've worked it out) 
  • Lose Weight
  • get organized
  • buy a new laptop
  • stay on track with assignments (I'm a master procrastinator) 
  • clean out my closet (and not the Eminem song)
  • drink more water 
  • plan cute date nights with my husband
  • cherish every moment with my daughter & husband
  • work on my blog 
  • blog more
  • find out what works and doesn't work on my blog
  • buy our first home (although this one will be a little harder than the rest but I can't wait to own a home)
  • get matching bedding 
  • bullet journal
  • buy a new filofax
  • get better at time management
  • blog more often (okay you caught me this is already in my yearly goals, but I thought I should remind myself) so I guess in the world of bullet journaling I should put an arrow ------>
These are some of the things that I want to work on and accomplish throughout the year, I will be adding and crossing out the ones I've done so stay tuned =)

Motivation Monday :)



Good Morning Lovely!!!! I hope today is absolutely magnificent!!! Okay let's face it monday's are usually bleh. But lets change it up a little and get some motivation! This past weekend I finally got over my plateau that I have been suffering from for the past 2-3 weeks and it's OVER!!! Can you say HALLLELUJAH!!!! I thought I would share some things that keep me motivated!!!

1.  GOALS!!! Goals keeps me from wandering from going into the I give up on the weight loss journey road! They keep me accountable and with something to look forward. :)

2. Looking at inspiring pictures on tumblr, or pinterest!! Sometimes when I am feeling blue. I like to look at pages on the world wide web that make me say AHHH I need to keep going because, well simply because I see that picture and it makes me want to get up and exercise or eat that carrot instead of chip!!!

3. Prepare, Prepare, Prepare!!! Every Sunday I prepare our food for the week!!! This gives me some motivation to eat the healthy food I prepared which keeps me on track!! It also makes me look forward to trying new recipes and have all week to search for them!

4. Looking at old pics of myself. Nothing says way to go girl than looking at past photos and seeing what I have accomplished!!!

5. Writing stuff down!!! Nothing gets me more motivated than logging onto my blog or opening my journal and just writing!!! It always makes me happy and makes me feel like I am ready to take on the world!! :)

Goals, Goals, Goals



I have vowed that I need to lose me some weight, not just to look fabulous but as an investment in my future because being healthy is a priority we should always engage in. So I decided to form a little group on my little blog. If you, like me, are on this weight loss journey then I would love it if we join the journey together. Studies show that having a social support system helps you not only lose weight but it also aids you in the long run, so that you do not gain it back. This is how it works every week I will report back here on my blog on my progress, what I am doing, and even learn some new healthy recipes. This goes for you too, if you want to be part of this just comment below or email me and we can get a group where we can share our experiences, what we are doing, recipes, and help with moral support. Because lets face it, it takes a lot of will power to get into the gym and eat healthy. =) Just let me know!!!! I am starting on Monday September 10th!! =)
